GRAPHIC DECAL REMOVAL


  1. REMOVE SIDE MUD GUARD PROTECTOR FRONT

      Remove the 3 screws and 2 retainer.

      Tech Tips

      Remove the side mud guard protector front when replacing body stripe tapes except for the quarter stripe rear.

    2. Remove the 7 clips and side mud guard protector front.

      Remove the grommet.

  2. REMOVE SIDE MUD GUARD PROTECTOR REAR


    1. A003DP0

      Remove the 2 screws, 2 grommet and side mud guard protector rear.

      Tech Tips

      Remove the side mud guard protector rear when replacing the quarter stripe front.

  3. REMOVE REAR BUMPER

    Tech Tips

    Remove the rear bumper cover when replacing the quarter stripe rear.

  4. REMOVE TWO-TONE TAPE


    1. The body side stripes will overlap. Remove body side stripes following the procedure listed in "1. Key Points for Installing Tape", at step "(a) Installation position".

    2. When replacing the stripe tape, heat the vehicle body and the stripe tape using a heat light.

      Heating temperature
      Item Temperature
      Body 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)

      Note


      • Be careful when handling the heated panel and heat light, as they will become very hot and may cause burns.

      • Do not heat the body excessively.

    3. Pull back an edge of the tape and pull it parallel to the vehicle body to peel it off.

    4. Repeat (b) and (c) to completely remove the tape.
