FUEL PUMP DISASSEMBLY

Note

Do not try to remove the nylon tube as it is welded to the fuel suction with pump and gauge tube assembly Click here.


  1. REMOVE FUEL SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY

      Disconnect the fuel pump harness connector and fuel sender gauge connector.

    2. A003GZ2E01

      Press down on the fuel sender gauge claw labeled A. Then slide the fuel sender gauge assembly upward to remove it.

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 FUEL SUB-TANK

      *1 Jet Pump

      Disconnect the jet pump from the No. 1 fuel sub-tank.

    2. Detach the claw and 2 clamps from the No. 1 fuel sub-tank.

      Note

      Do not damage the No. 1 fuel sub-tank.

      Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, detach the 5 claws to remove the No. 1 fuel sub-tank.

      Note

      Do not damage the No. 1 fuel sub-tank.

  3. REMOVE FUEL PUMP


    1. A003AO6

      Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, detach the 5 claws to remove the fuel pump from the fuel filter assembly.

      Note

      Do not damage the fuel filter assembly.

    2. Disconnect the fuel pump harness connector from the fuel pump.

    3. Remove the O-ring from the fuel filter assembly.

    4. Remove the fuel pump spacer from the fuel pump.
