FUEL FILTER REMOVAL


  1. DISCONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL

  2. REMOVE FUEL TANK CAP ASSEMBLY

  3. REMOVE FUEL FILTER ELEMENT

      Disconnect the vacuum switch assembly connector and warning switch connector.

    2. Disconnect the 2 fuel hoses.

    3. Disconnect the 2 fuel heater hoses. (w/ fuel heater)

    4. Loosen the drain cock to drain fuel.

    5. Tighten the drain cock.

      Using a screwdriver as a lever, loosen the fastener nut until can be loosened by hand.

    7. Fully loosen the fastener nut by hand.

      Tech Tips

      Loosen the fastener until the filter cap assembly is removed.

      Remove the fuel filter cap assembly, pull up one side of the fuel filter cap assembly and then lift off, as shown in the illustration.

    9. Remove the fuel filter element sub-assembly from the fuel filter case sub-assembly.

    10. Remove the O-ring from the the fuel filter case sub-assembly.
