PURGE VALVE INSPECTION


  1. INSPECT VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE ASSEMBLY NO.1 (EVAP VSV)


    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      1 - 2 20°C (68°F) 23 to 26 Ω
      1 - Body ground Always 10 MΩ or higher
      2 - Body ground

      Tech Tips

      When measuring the coil resistance make sure that the surface temperature of the vacuum switching valve assembly No.1 is 20°C (68°F).

      If the result is not as specified, replace the vacuum switching valve assembly No.1.

    2. Check the operation.

        Check that air does not flow from port E to port F.

      2. Apply battery voltage across the terminals.

      3. A003FI8E06

        Check that air flows from port E to port F.

        If the result is not as specified, replace the vacuum switching valve assembly No.1.
