INSPECT NO. 2 EGR VALVE ASSEMBLY
Apply vacuum and check that the rod of the No. 2 EGR valve operates as shown in the illustration.
If the rod does not operate, replace the No. 2 EGR valve.
When a vacuum of 59 kPa (443 mmHg, 17 in.Hg) is applied to the diaphragm chamber, check that the valve turns and air flows out.
INSPECT VACUUM CONTROL VALVE (for EGR Bypass Valve)
Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

If the result is not as specified, replace the vacuum control valve.
Check operation of the vacuum control valve set.
Check that air flows from port E to the filter.
If the result is not as specified, replace the vacuum control valve.
Apply battery voltage to the terminals.
Check that air flows from port E to port F.
If the result is not as specified, replace the vacuum control valve.
