LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR GARNISH REASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR OUTSIDE GARNISH PROTECTOR LH

   Tech Tips

   When installing the luggage compartment door outside garnish protector LH, heat the luggage compartment door outside garnish sub-assembly surface using a heat light.

   Standard
   Item Temperature Luggage Compartment Door Outside Garnish Sub-assembly 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

   Note

   Do not heat the luggage compartment door outside garnish sub-assembly excessively.

   
   

   1. Clean the luggage compartment door outside garnish sub-assembly surface.

      
      

      1. Using a heat light, heat the luggage compartment door outside garnish sub-assembly surface.

      2. Remove the double-sided tape from the luggage compartment door outside garnish sub-assembly surface.

      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

   2. Install a new luggage compartment door outside garnish protector LH.

      
      

      1. Using a heat light, heat the luggage compartment door outside garnish sub-assembly.

      2. Remove the peeling paper from the face of the luggage compartment door outside garnish protector LH.

         Tech Tips

         After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

      3. 

         Install the luggage compartment door outside garnish protector LH as shown in the illustration.

2. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR OUTSIDE GARNISH PROTECTOR RH

   Tech Tips

   Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

3. INSTALL NO. 2 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR OUTSIDE GARNISH PROTECTOR

   Tech Tips

   When installing the No. 2 luggage compartment door outside garnish protector, heat the luggage compartment door outside garnish sub-assembly surface using a heat light.

   Standard

   • Use the same procedure for both luggage compartment door outside garnish protectors.

   1. Attach the 5 claws and 2 guides to install the upper luggage compartment door outside garnish LH.

6. INSTALL UPPER LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR OUTSIDE GARNISH RH

   Tech Tips

   Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

7. INSTALL NO. 2 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR OUTSIDE GARNISH (w/o Rear View Monitor System)

   
   

   1. Attach the 2 claws to install the No. 2 luggage compartment door outside garnish.

8. INSTALL SYMBOL EMBLEM (w/ Radiator Grille Emblem)
