DESCRIPTION

The radio and display receiver assembly and map light assembly (telephone microphone assembly) are connected to each other using the microphone connection detection signal lines.

This DTC is stored when a microphone connection detection signal line is disconnected.

  1. CHECK RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D124-18 (SGND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      D124-19 (MIN-) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      D124-4 (MACC) - Body ground Ignition switch ACC 4 to 6 V

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the D124 radio and display receiver assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the K15 map light assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D124-4 (MACC) - K15-16 (MACC) Always Below 1 Ω
      D124-5 (MIN+) - K15-15 (MIC+) Always Below 1 Ω
      D124-19 (MIN-) - K15-14 (MIC-) Always Below 1 Ω
      D124-6 (SNS2) - K15-5 (SNS2) Always Below 1 Ω
      D124-4 (MACC) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      D124-5 (MIN+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      D124-19 (MIN-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      D124-18 (SGND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      D124-6 (SNS2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  3. CHECK TELEPHONE MICROPHONE ASSEMBLY


    1. Replace the telephone microphone assembly with a known good one Click here.
