Tech Tips

When removing the emblem and name plate, heat the vehicle body, emblem and name plate using a heat light.

Standard
Item Temperature
Vehicle Body 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)
Emblem 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)
Name Plate 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

Note

Do not heat the vehicle body, emblem and name plate excessively.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE SYMBOL EMBLEM

    1. Put protective tape around the symbol emblem.

    2. Insert a piano wire between the vehicle body and symbol emblem.

      Tech Tips

      Be careful of the boss position.

    3. Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to both wire ends.

    4. Pull the piano wire and scrape off the double-sided tape that holds the symbol emblem to the vehicle body.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    5. Remove the symbol emblem.

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR NAME PLATE

    1. Put protective tape around the No. 1 luggage compartment door name plate.

    2. Insert a piano wire between the vehicle body and No. 1 luggage compartment door name plate.

    3. Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to both wire ends.

    4. Pull the piano wire and scrape off the double-sided tape that holds the No. 1 luggage compartment door name plate to the vehicle body.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    5. Remove the No. 1 luggage compartment door name plate.

  3. REMOVE NO. 5 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR NAME PLATE

    1. Put protective tape around the No. 5 luggage compartment door name plate.

    2. Insert a piano wire between the vehicle body and No. 5 luggage compartment door name plate.

    3. Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to both wire ends.

    4. Pull the piano wire and scrape off the double-sided tape that holds the No. 5 luggage compartment door name plate to the vehicle body.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    5. Remove the No. 5 luggage compartment door name plate.
