FRONT WIPER MOTOR ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT FRONT WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY (for LHD)


    1. Operate the front wiper motor and link assembly.

    2. Stop the front wiper motor and link assembly operation.

      Check the automatic stop position.

      OK
      The front wipers stop at the positions shown in the illustration.
      Standard
      Area Standard Condition
      A 36.3 to 51.3 mm (1.43 to 2.02 in.)
      B Approx. 18.6 mm (0.732 in.)
      C 29.4 to 44.4 mm (1.16 to 1.75 in.)
      D Approx. 39.6 mm (1.56 in.)

      If the result is not as specified, the front wiper motor and link assembly may have a malfunction.

  2. INSPECT FRONT WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY (for RHD)


    1. Operate the front wiper motor and link assembly.

    2. Stop the front wiper motor and link assembly operation.
