REAR COIL SPRING REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    Note


    • w/ Navigation System for HDD:

      After the ignition switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately a minute to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the ignition switch off, wait a minute or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

    • When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  2. REMOVE REAR WHEEL

  3. REMOVE REAR HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY (for HID Headlight)

  4. REMOVE REAR STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY LH

  5. LOOSEN REAR NO. 2 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY LH

    1. Loosen the 2 bolts of the suspension arm.

      Note


      • Do not remove the bolts and nuts, only loosen them.

      • Since a stopper nut is used, loosen the bolt.

  6. DISCONNECT REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY LH

    1. Support the rear No. 2 suspension arm with a jack using a wooden block to avoid damage.

    2. A004PSY

      Remove the bolt and nut, and then disconnect the rear shock absorber from the rear No. 2 suspension arm.

      Note

      Hold the nut and then remove the bolt.

  7. REMOVE REAR COIL SPRING LH

    1. Remove the bolt and nut located on the rear axle carrier of the rear No. 2 suspension arm.

    2. Lower the jack gradually to remove the rear coil spring with rear upper coil spring insulator.

  8. REMOVE REAR UPPER COIL SPRING INSULATOR LH


    1. Remove the rear upper coil spring insulator from the rear coil spring.

  9. REMOVE REAR LOWER COIL SPRING INSULATOR LH
