PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL INPUT SHAFT FRONT BEARING


    1. A004S30E01

      Using SST and a press, press in the front bearing into the input shaft.

  2. INSTALL INPUT SHAFT SNAP RING

      Using a brass bar and hammer, tap a new snap ring onto the input shaft.

  3. INSTALL 4TH DRIVE GEAR


    1. A004O3TE01

      Using SST and a press, press in the 4th drive gear into the input shaft.

  4. INSTALL 3RD DRIVE GEAR


    1. A004RU4

      Install the spacer into the input shaft.

      Using SST and a press, press in the 3rd drive gear into the input shaft.

  5. INSTALL 6TH DRIVE GEAR

      Using SST and a press, press in the 6th drive gear into the input shaft.

  6. INSTALL INPUT SHAFT REAR RADIAL BALL BEARING

      Using SST and a press, press in the input shaft rear radial ball bearing into the input shaft.

  7. INSTALL INPUT SHAFT REAR BEARING SHAFT SNAP RING

      Select a new snap ring, using the table below, that makes the thrust clearance of the input shaft bearing less than 0.1 mm (0.00394 in.).
