TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM POSITIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  4. REMOVE FRONT WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY

  5. REMOVE OUTER COWL TOP PANEL

    Click here

  6. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER

  7. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER

  8. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY

  9. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT OPENING COVER

    Click here

  10. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER

    Click here

  11. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT

    Click here

  12. REMOVE BATTERY CLAMP SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  13. REMOVE BATTERY INSULATOR

  14. REMOVE BATTERY

  15. REMOVE BATTERY TRAY

  16. REMOVE BATTERY CARRIER

  17. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE ASSEMBLY

  18. REMOVE AIR CLEANER FILTER ELEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY

  19. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  20. DISCONNECT ENGINE WIRE

  21. REMOVE NO. 4 WATER BY-PASS HOSE

    Click here

  22. DISCONNECT COMPRESSOR OUTLET ELBOW

    Click here

  23. DISCONNECT NO. 1 AIR TUBE ASSEMBLY

  24. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY

  25. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR

    1. Remove the 3 nuts and front No. 1 floor heat insulator.

  26. REMOVE TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY


    1. A004PXC

      Remove the 2 clips and disconnect the 2 cables from the transaxle.

    2. A004NTS

      Remove the 2 clips and disconnect the 2 cables from the control cable bracket.

    3. A004RN0

      Remove the bolt and detach the bracket of the control cable assembly.

    4. A004N8M

      Remove the 2 nuts and detach the grommet of the control cable assembly.

    5. A004S38

      Remove the clip and disconnect the end of the select control cable.

    6. A004OZ1

      Remove the clip and the end of the shift control cable.

    7. A004MJV

      Detach the 2 claws and remove the control cable assembly.
