DIFFERENTIAL OIL SEAL REPLACEMENT

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE FRONT LOWER BUMPER ABSORBER

    Click here

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER

    Click here

  3. REMOVE REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER LH

    Click here

  4. REMOVE REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER RH

    Click here

  5. DRAIN AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE FLUID

    Click here

  6. REMOVE FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY LH AND RH


    1. Remove the front drive shaft LH and RH Click here.

  7. REMOVE DRIVE SHAFT BEARING BRACKET

    Click here

  8. REMOVE TRANSAXLE CASE OIL SEAL LH

    1. Using SST, tap out the transaxle case oil seal.

  9. REMOVE TRANSAXLE CASE OIL SEAL RH

    A004RRVE02

    1. Using SST, tap out the transaxle case oil seal.

  10. INSTALL TRANSAXLE CASE OIL SEAL LH

    A004SU5E01

    1. Using SST and a hammer, tap in a new transaxle case oil seal.

      SST
      09316-10010
      09950-70010   ( 09951-07100 )
      Oil seal driven in depth
      -0.5 to 0.5 mm (-0.0197 to 0.0197 in.)

      Note

      Check that the oil seal is installed in the correct direction.

    2. Coat the lip of the transaxle case oil seal with MP grease.

  11. INSTALL TRANSAXLE CASE OIL SEAL RH

    A004RUIE06

    1. Using SST and a hammer, tap in a new transaxle case oil seal.

      SST
      09316-60011   ( 09316-00011 )
      Oil seal driven in depth
      -0.5 to 0.5 mm (-0.0197 to 0.0197 in.)

      Note

      Check that the oil seal is installed in the correct direction.

    2. Coat the lip of the transaxle case oil seal with MP grease.

  12. INSTALL DRIVE SHAFT BEARING BRACKET

  13. INSTALL FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY LH AND RH


    1. Install the front drive shaft LH and RH Click here.

  14. ADD AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE FLUID


    1. Add automatic transaxle fluid Click here.

  15. INSTALL REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER RH

    Click here

  16. INSTALL REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER LH

    Click here

  17. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER

    Click here

  18. INSTALL FRONT LOWER BUMPER ABSORBER

    Click here
