SHIFT LEVER DISASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE POSITION INDICATOR HOUSING ASSEMBLY

    A004MKQ

    1. Remove the 4 screws and position indicator housing from the rear upper console panel sub-assembly.

  2. REMOVE INDICATOR LIGHT WIRE SUB-ASSEMBLY

    A004PP4

    1. Detach the 4 clamps and disconnect the indicator light wire and connector from the position indicator housing

    2. Rotate the indicator light wire counterclockwise to align the key part and remove the wire.

  3. REMOVE POSITION INDICATOR LIGHT BULB


    1. Remove the bulb and cap from the indicator light wire socket.

  4. REMOVE FLOOR SHIFT POSITION INDICATOR HOUSING SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Detach the 4 claws and remove the floor shift position indicator housing from the position indicator housing.

  5. REMOVE SHIFT LOCK RELEASE BUTTON

    1. Detach the 2 claws and remove the shift lock release button and shift lock release button compression spring from the position indicator housing.

  6. REMOVE POSITION INDICATOR SLIDE COVER

    A004MN2

    1. Remove the position indicator slide cover together with No. 2 position indicator slide cover.

  7. REMOVE NO. 2 POSITION INDICATOR SLIDE COVER

    A004PQR

    1. Remove the No. 2 position indicator slide cover from the position indicator slide cover.

  8. REMOVE LOWER POSITION INDICATOR HOUSING

    A004PID

    1. Detach the 4 claws and remove the lower position indicator housing from the shift lock control unit.

  9. REMOVE SHIFT LOCK CONTROL ECU

    A004OTV

    1. Disconnect the shift lock solenoid connector from the shift lock control ECU.

    2. Detach the 3 claws and remove the shift lock control ECU from the shift lock control unit.
