INSPECT SET SWITCH
Push the cruise control switch on.
Drive the vehicle at a desired speed (between 40 km/h [25 mph] and 200 km/h [125 mph]).
Press the cruise control switch to -SET.
After releasing the switch, check that the vehicle cruises at the desired speed.
INSPECT "+" SWITCH
Push the cruise control switch on.
Drive the vehicle at a desired speed (between 40 km/h [25 mph] and 200 km/h [125 mph]).
Press the cruise control switch to -SET.
Check that the vehicle speed increases while the cruise control switch is pushed up to +RES, and that the vehicle cruises at the set speed when the cruise control switch is released.
Momentarily press the cruise control switch upward to +RES and immediately release it. Check that the vehicle speed increases by about 1.6 km/h (1 mph) (Tap-up function).
INSPECT "-" SWITCH
Push the cruise control switch on.
Drive the vehicle at a desired speed (between 40 km/h [25 mph] and 200 km/h [125 mph]).
Press the cruise control switch to -SET.
Check that the vehicle speed decreases while the cruise control switch is pushed down to -SET, and that the vehicle cruises at the set speed when the cruise control switch is released.
Momentarily press the cruise control switch downward to -SET and immediately release it. Check that the vehicle speed decreases by about 1.6 km/h (1 mph) (Tap-down function).
INSPECT CANCEL FUNCTION (CANCEL SWITCH)
Push the cruise control switch on.
Drive the vehicle at a desired speed (between 40 km/h [25 mph] and 200 km/h [125 mph]).
Press the cruise control switch to -SET.
When performing one of the following, check that the cruise control system is canceled and that the normal driving mode is reset.
Depressing the brake pedal
Pushing the cruise control switch off
Pulling the cruise control switch to CANCEL
except Manual Transaxle:
Moving the shift lever from D to N, or selecting 3rd, 2nd or 1st range with the shift lever in S
for Manual Transaxle:
Depressing the clutch pedal
Driving the vehicle while the vehicle stability control system is operating
INSPECT RES (RESUME) SWITCH
Push the cruise control switch on.
Drive the vehicle at a desired speed (between 40 km/h [25 mph] and 200 km/h [125 mph]).
Press the cruise control switch to -SET.
Cancel the cruise control system by performing one of the following.
Depressing the brake pedal
Pulling the cruise control switch to CANCEL
except Manual Transaxle:
Moving the shift lever from D to N, or selecting 3rd, 2nd or 1st range with the shift lever in S
for Manual Transaxle:
Depressing the clutch pedal
Driving the vehicle while the vehicle stability control system is operating
After the cruise control switch is pushed up to +RES at a driving speed of more than 40 km/h (25 mph), check that the vehicle restores the speed before the cancellation.
