STARTER(for VALEO Made) DISASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE

1. REMOVE MAGNET STARTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. 

      Remove the nut and disconnect the lead wire from terminal C.

   2. 

      Using a T20 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 screws holding the magnet starter switch to the starter drive housing.

   3. Remove the magnet starter switch.

   4. 

      Remove the return spring.

   5. 

      Remove the plate and boot.

   6. 

      Remove the rubber seal.

2. REMOVE STARTER YOKE ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. 

      Remove the 2 bolts.

   2. 

      Remove the starter yoke from the starter drive housing.

3. REMOVE STARTER CLUTCH SUB-ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. 

      Remove the starter pinion drive lever with starter drive lever pin from the starter clutch.

   2. Remove the starter pinion drive lever from the starter drive lever pin.

   3. 

      Using a screwdriver with the tip taped, remove the starter clutch from the starter yoke.

4. REMOVE STARTER COMMUTATOR END FRAME ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. 

      Remove the starter commutator end frame from the yoke.

5. REMOVE STARTER BRUSH HOLDER ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. 

      Remove the starter brush holder from the starter armature.

6. REMOVE STARTER ARMATURE ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. 

      Remove the starter armature from the starter yoke.
