OIL PRESSURE SWITCH INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL ENGINE OIL PRESSURE SWITCH ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Remove the adhesive from the threads of the engine oil pressure switch assembly and the bolt hole of the oil filter bracket.

   2. Apply adhesive to 2 or 3 threads of the engine oil pressure switch assembly.

      Adhesive
      Toyota Genuine Adhesive 1344, Three Bond 1344 or equivalent

      Note

      Do not apply adhesive to the oil inlet port of the engine oil pressure switch assembly.

   3. Using a 24 mm deep socket wrench, install the engine oil pressure switch assembly.

      Torque:

      13 N*m  { 133 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Do not start the engine for at least 1 hour after installation.

   4. Connect the engine oil pressure switch connector.

3. INSPECT FOR OIL LEAK

5. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT OPENING COVER

6. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE COVER

7. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER
