DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE SENSOR ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE SENSOR

   
   

   1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

   2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

   3. Turn the intelligent tester on.

   4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Data List / DPNR Differential Pressure.

   5. Disconnect the No. 1 vacuum transmitting hose from the sensor.

   6.

      Pressure

      Using SST, apply pressure to the sensor.

   7. Check the pressure value of the sensor.

      Standard pressure
      Approximately the same pressure as the applied pressure is indicated on the tester.

      Note

      Perform the inspection within the range of 0 to 98 kPa (0 to 1.0 kgf/cm², 0 to 14.2 psi).

      If the result is not as specified, check the sensor circuit.

   8. Connect the No. 1 vacuum transmitting hose to the sensor.
