DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when a communication error occurs between the radio and display receiver assembly and combination meter assembly.

DTC Code DTC Detection Condition Trouble Area
B1324 After the radio and display receiver assembly receives a registration information signal, which is sent by the combination meter assembly when the ignition switch is ACC, 1 or more times, the radio and display receiver assembly cannot receive the signal for 30 seconds or more.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the D134 radio and display receiver assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the D66 combination meter assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D134-3 (CNH1) - D66-36 (MSCH) Always Below 1 Ω
      D134-4 (CNL1) - D66-37 (MSCL) Always Below 1 Ω
      D134-3 (CNH1) or D66-36 (MSCH) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      D134-4 (CNL1) or D66-37 (MSCL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      D134-3 (CNH1) - D134-4 (CNL1) Always 10 kΩ or higher
    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D134-3 (CNH1) - Body ground Always Below 1 V
      D134-4 (CNL1) - Body ground Always Below 1 V

  2. INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY


    1. A004NJUE06

      Remove the combination meter assembly Click here.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      36 (MSCH) - 37 (MSCL) Always 108 to 132 Ω

  3. INSPECT RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY

      Remove the radio and display receiver assembly Click here.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      3 (CNH1) - 4 (CNL1) Always 108 to 132 Ω

  4. CHECK COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY


    1. Replace the combination meter assembly Click here.

    2. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    3. Recheck for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output Click here.

      OK
      No DTCs are output.

  5. CHECK METER / GAUGE SYSTEM


    1. Turn the ignition switch to ON and wait 30 seconds.

    2. Operate the steering pad switch assembly and check that the audio tab is displayed on the multi-information display in the combination meter assembly and the audio system can be operated normally.

      OK
      Audio system returns to normal.
