STEERING WHEEL INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL STEERING SHAKE DAMPER


    1. Install the steering shake damper with the 2 screws.

      Torque:
      2.4 N*m  { 24 kgf*cm, 21 in.*lbf }
  2. INSTALL STEERING PAD SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. Attach the 2 claws and 5 pins to install the steering pad switch.

    2. Install the 2 screws.

      Torque:
      2.4 N*m  { 24 kgf*cm, 21 in.*lbf }
    3. Connect the connector and connector cramp.

  3. INSTALL CRUISE CONTROL SWITCH WIRE (w/ Cruise Control System)


    1. Install the cruise control switch wire.

  4. INSTALL CRUISE CONTROL MAIN SWITCH (w/ Cruise Control System)

  5. PLACE FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD

  6. ADJUST SPIRAL CABLE

  7. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY

      Align the matchmarks on the steering wheel assembly and steering main shaft.

    2. Install the steering wheel assembly set nut.

      Torque:
      50 N*m  { 510 kgf*cm, 37 ft.*lbf }
    3. Connect the connectors to the spiral cable sub-assembly.

  8. INSTALL STEERING PAD

  9. INSPECT STEERING WHEEL CENTER POINT

  10. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  11. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT
