ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE ACTUATOR ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Turn the ignition switch off.

   2. Connect the intelligent tester to DLC3.

   3. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

   4. Turn the tester on.

   5. Enter the following menus: Chassis / Electric Parking Brake / Active Test.

   6. Jack up the vehicle

   7. Use the Active Test to operate the electric parking brake. Check that the electric parking brake operates normally.

      OK
      electric parking brake operates normally.

      If the result is not as specified, inspect the electric parking brake system Click here.

   8. Turn the ignition switch to ON, push the electric parking brake switch and check that the PARK warning light illuminates.

   9. Pull the parking brake switch and check that the PARK warning light turns off. Also, check that the brake system warning light (yellow indicator) does not illuminate at this time.
