DESCRIPTION

The rotation angle sensor detects the motor rotation angle and sends this information to the power steering ECU.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION

      Check the connection condition of the z11 rotation angle sensor connector.

      OK
      Rotation angle sensor connector is securely connected to the power steering ECU.

    NG

    CONNECT CONNECTOR SECURELY

    OK

  2. READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (MOTOR ROTATION ANGLE)


    1. Turn the ignition switch off.

    2. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    3. Start the engine.

    4. Turn the intelligent tester on.

    5. Enter the following menus: Chassis / EMPS / Data List.

      		 Motor rotation angle value changes from 0 to 360° The engine is running and the steering wheel is being turned.

  3. CHECK STEERING COLUMN

      Disconnect the z11 rotation angle sensor connector from the power steering ECU.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
