TEMPORARILY INSTALL FRONT DISC BRAKE BLEEDER PLUG
Tech Tips
Tighten the front disc brake bleeder plug after bleeding any air left in the system.
INSTALL FRONT DISC BRAKE BLEEDER PLUG CAP
INSTALL PISTON SEAL
| *1 | Lithium soap base glycol grease |
Apply a light coat of lithium soap base glycol grease to the entire inner and outer circumference of a new piston seal.
Install the piston seal to the disc brake cylinder assembly.
Note
Make sure the piston seal is securely installed to the groove of the disc brake cylinder assembly.
INSTALL FRONT DISC BRAKE PISTON

Apply a light coat of lithium soap base glycol grease to the entire inner and outer circumference of a new cylinder boot.
Apply a light coat of lithium soap base glycol grease to the entire outer circumference of the front disc brake piston where it contacts the front disc brake cylinder.
Install the cylinder boot to the front disc brake piston.
Install the front disc brake piston to the disc brake cylinder assembly.
Note
Do not forcibly install the piston to the disc brake cylinder assembly.
INSTALL CYLINDER BOOT

Using SST and a hammer, install the cylinder boot to the front disc brake cylinder assembly.
Note
Make sure the cylinder boot is securely installed to the groove of the disc brake cylinder and piston.
Do not damage the cylinder boot.
