REAR BUMPER(for Wagon) REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE REAR BUMPER PLATE LH

    *1 Protective Tape

    1. Put protective tape around the rear bumper plate.

    2. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the rear bumper plate.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  2. REMOVE REAR BUMPER PLATE RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  3. REMOVE REAR BUMPER COVER


    1. Put protective tape around the rear bumper cover.

    2. Remove the 4 screws, 2 bolts and 8 clips.

    3. w/o TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System:

      Detach the 20 claws and remove the rear bumper cover.

    4. w/ TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System:

      Detach the 20 claws, disconnect the No. 2 frame wire connector and remove the rear bumper cover.

  4. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 BUMPER REINFORCEMENT

    1. Remove the 8 bolts and No. 1 bumper reinforcement.

  5. REMOVE REAR BUMPER ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

    1. Remove the 3 bolts and rear bumper arm.

  6. REMOVE REAR BUMPER ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  7. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE RETAINER LH

    *1 Protective Tape

    1. Remove the 2 screws and bracket.

    2. Using a clip remover, detach the 3 claws and remove the rear bumper side retainer.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the clip remover tip before use.

  8. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE RETAINER RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  9. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 BUMPER SIDE RETAINER LH

    1. Remove the screw.

    2. Using a clip remover, detach the 3 claws and remove the rear No. 2 bumper side retainer.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the clip remover tip before use.

  10. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 BUMPER SIDE RETAINER RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  11. REMOVE REAR UPPER BUMPER RETAINER LH

    2. Using a clip remover, detach the 2 claws and remove the rear upper bumper retainer.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the clip remover tip before use.
