HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT REAR HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Note

    Do not drop the height control sensor. If it is dropped, replace it with a new one.


    1. Connect 3 dry batteries of 1.5 V in series.

    2. Connect the positive (+) end of the batteries to terminal 3 (VCC) of the height control sensor and the negative (-) end of the batteries to terminal 1 (GND).

      Note

      Do not apply a voltage of higher than 6 V.

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      2 (OUT) - 1 (GND) Max. high Approx. 4.5 V
      Normal Approx. 2.5 V
      Min. low Approx. 0.5 V

      If the result is not as specified, replace the rear height control sensor.
