DESCRIPTION

The headlight leveling ECU actuates the headlight leveling motors according to the vehicle conditions.

PROCEDURE


  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS (HEADLIGHT LEVELING MOTOR)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / HL Auto Leveling / Active Test.

    5. Using the GTS, perform the Active Test.

      HL Auto Leveling
      Tester Display Test Part Control Range Diagnostic Note
      Drive The Leveling Motor UP Leveling motor upward operation ON/OFF Perform the Active Test with ignition switch ON and the vehicle stopped.
      Drive The Leveling Motor DOWN Leveling motor downward operation ON/OFF Perform the Active Test with ignition switch ON and the vehicle stopped.
      OK
      Headlight leveling motors operate normally.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEADLIGHT LEVELING ECU ASSEMBLY - HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the A66 headlight leveling ECU assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the A59*1 or A58*2 headlight assembly connector.


      • *1: for LH

      • *2: for RH

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

  3. CHECK HEADLIGHT UNIT (OPERATION)


    1. Temporarily replace the headlight assembly (headlight leveling motor) with a new or normally functioning one Click here.

    2. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    3. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    4. Turn the GTS on.

    5. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / HL Auto Leveling / Active Test.

    6. Using the GTS, perform the Active Test.
