LIGHTING SYSTEM Turn Signal Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The combination meter assembly receives the turn signal switch information and controls the turn signal lights.

When replacing the combination meter assembly, make sure to replace it with a new one.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS (TURN SIGNAL SWITCH)


    1. Using the GTS, read the Data List Click here.

  2. INSPECT HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the headlight dimmer switch assembly Click here.

    2. Inspect the headlight dimmer switch assembly Click here.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH ASSEMBLY - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the D7 headlight dimmer switch assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the D140 combination meter assembly.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D7-14 (CR) - D140-8 (SW) Always Below 1 Ω
      D7-15 (TL) - D140-10 (EL) Always Below 1 Ω
      D7-13 (TR) - D140-9 (ER) Always Below 1 Ω
      D7-14 (CR) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      D7-15 (TL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      D7-13 (TR) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      D7-12 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
