DESCRIPTION

The windshield wiper relay receives a signal from the rain sensor to control the auto wiper system.

  1. CHECK COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM


    1. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    2. Check for DTCs Click here.

      Disconnect the D60 relay connector.

    2. Disconnect the K5 sensor connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D60-13 (SIG) - K5-3 (SIG) Always Below 1 Ω
      K5-3 (SIG) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      D60-7 (ES) - K5-2 (ES) Always Below 1 Ω
      K5-2 (ES) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  3. INSPECT WINDSHIELD WIPER RELAY ASSEMBLY

      for LHD:

      Remove the wiper relay with its connector still connected Click here.

    2. for RHD:

      Remove the wiper relay with its connector still connected Click here.

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
