WIPER AND WASHER SYSTEM(w/ Rain Sensor) Wiper and Washer Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

This circuit provides power to operate the windshield wiper switch. The manual operation signals are sent to the windshield wiper relay.

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH - BATTERY)

      Disconnect the D33 switch connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

  2. INSPECT WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH ASSEMBLY

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Front wiper switch LO

      A-9 (AUTO) - A-10 (E) Front wiper switch AUTO
      A-8 (VR2) - A-7 (VR1) Adjusting ring* changed from (+) side to (-) side Below 10 Ω to 2700 Ω
      B-2 (EW) - B-3 (WF) Front washer switch on Below 1 Ω
      Front washer switch off 10 kΩ or higher

      *: The rain sensor sensitivity can be adjusted by the windshield wiper switch adjusting ring.

      Disconnect the A9 motor connector.

    2. Disconnect the D33 switch connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    1. Disconnect the D34 and D33 switch connectors.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
