RELAY ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  3. REMOVE FUEL LID OPENER RELAY


    1. A0052WK

      Remove the fuel lid opener relay from the engine room relay block.

  4. INSPECT FUEL LID OPENER RELAY

    A0058G3E05

    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      3 - 5 Battery voltage not applied to terminals 1 and 2 10 kΩ or higher
      Battery voltage applied to terminals 1 and 2 Below 1 Ω

      • If the result is not as specified, replace the relay.

  5. INSTALL FUEL LID OPENER RELAY


    1. A0052WK

      Install the fuel lid opener relay to the engine room relay block.

  6. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.
