PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR CARPET

    1. Remove the luggage compartment floor carpet.

  2. REMOVE REAR FLOOR BOARD SPACER

    1. Remove the rear floor board spacer.

  3. REMOVE REAR NO. 6 FLOOR BOARD SPACER

    1. Remove the rear No. 6 floor board spacer.

  4. REMOVE ROPE HOOK ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 4 bolts and 4 rope hook assemblies.

  5. REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE

      Remove the 2 clips.

    2. A00551C

      Detach the 4 clips and remove the rear floor finish plate.

  6. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER ASSEMBLY RH

      Using a clip remover, remove the 4 clips and luggage compartment trim cover assembly RH.

  7. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR DAMPER ASSEMBLY

    Note


    • Avoid touching the piston rod as much as possible to prevent foreign matter from attaching to it. Be sure to hold the cylinder while servicing.

    • Do not wear cotton gloves or other similar materials when handling the piston rod. Fibers may attach to the rod and result in gas leaks.

    • In order to prevent the piston rod from deforming, do not apply any horizontal load to the door support.

      Using a screwdriver, remove the 2 stop rings along the groove.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Release the ball joint and remove the luggage compartment door damper assembly.
