LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR SUPPORT INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR DAMPER ASSEMBLY

    Note


    • Avoid touching the piston rod as much as possible to prevent foreign matter from attaching to it. Be sure to hold the cylinder while servicing.

    • Do not wear cotton gloves or other similar materials when handling the piston rod. Fibers may attach to the rod and result in gas leaks.

    • In order to prevent the piston rod from deforming, do not apply any horizontal load to the door support.


    1. When reusing the luggage compartment door damper assembly:


      1. A0055B5

        Install the 2 stop rings to the luggage compartment door damper assembly.

    2. A0056BE

      Install the luggage compartment door damper assembly.

      Note

      Check that the luggage compartment door damper assembly is attached in the ball joint and the luggage compartment door damper assembly cannot be pulled out.

  2. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER ASSEMBLY RH


    1. Install the luggage compartment trim cover assembly RH with the 4 clips.

  3. INSTALL REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE


    1. Attach the 4 clips to install the rear floor finish plate.

    2. Install the 2 clips.

  4. INSTALL ROPE HOOK ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the 4 rope hook assemblies with the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      7.8 N*m  { 80 kgf*cm, 69 in.*lbf }

  5. INSTALL REAR FLOOR BOARD SPACER


    1. Install the rear floor board spacer.

  6. INSTALL REAR NO. 6 FLOOR BOARD SPACER


    1. Install the rear No. 6 floor board spacer.

  7. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR CARPET


    1. Install the luggage compartment floor carpet.
