REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY(for Sedan) REMOVAL

  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  3. REMOVE REAR BENCH TYPE SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY

  4. REMOVE REAR SIDE SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH

    Click here

  5. REMOVE REAR SIDE SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH

  6. REMOVE REAR CENTER SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY (for Floor Anchor)

  7. REMOVE INNER ROOF SIDE GARNISH LH

  8. REMOVE INNER ROOF SIDE GARNISH RH

  9. REMOVE REAR SEAT SHOULDER BELT HOLE COVER

    1. Using a moulding remover B, detach the 4 claws and remove the rear seat shoulder belt hole cover.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure to remove all the belt hole covers.

  10. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY

    1. Disconnect the connector.

    2. Remove the 4 clips.

    3. Detach the 2 clips and raise the front portion of the package tray trim panel assembly.

    4. Pass the 3 rear seat belt floor anchors through the package tray trim panel assembly.

    5. Detach the 5 claws and remove the package tray trim panel assembly.

  11. REMOVE NO. 1 ROOM PARTITION BOARD

    1. Remove the 4 clips.

    2. Using a moulding remover B, detach the 4 clips and remove the No. 1 room partition board.

  12. REMOVE NO. 1 PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PAD

    Tech Tips

    Perform the following procedure if replacing the No. 1 package tray trim pad.


    1. Remove the No. 1 package tray trim pad.

  13. REMOVE NO. 2 PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PAD

    Tech Tips

    Perform the following procedure if replacing the No. 2 package tray trim pad.


    1. Remove the No. 2 package tray trim pad.

  14. REMOVE REAR SEAT 3 POINT TYPE BELT ASSEMBLY LH


    1. for LH Side:

        Using a clip remover, detach the wire harness clamp (A).

      2. Remove the bolt and nut.

      3. Detach the guide and remove the rear seat 3 point type belt assembly LH.

    2. for RH Side:

        Remove the bolt and nut.

      2. Detach the guide and remove the rear seat 3 point type belt assembly RH.

      *1 Locking Button
      *a Protective Tape

      Using a screwdriver, pull out the locking button as shown in the illustration to release the lock and disconnect the pretensioner connector as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  15. REMOVE OUTER BELT ANCHOR BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

    1. Remove the bolt.

    2. Detach the guide and outer belt anchor bracket sub-assembly LH.
