Note

As the door control battery is installed between the vehicle battery and main body ECU (instrument panel junction block assembly), first perform the inspections in On-Vehicle Inspection to confirm that there are no malfunctions in the power source circuit for the main body ECU (instrument panel junction block assembly) before performing this troubleshooting procedure Click here.

PROCEDURE


  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (SECURITY INDICATOR)


    1. Operate the intelligent tester according to the steps on the display and select "Active Test".

  2. INSPECT UPPER CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (SECURITY INDICATOR LIGHT)

      Remove the upper console panel sub-assembly (security indicator light) Click here.

    2. Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 8 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 9, then check that security indicator illuminates.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (UPPER CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY - MAIN BODY ECU AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the D141 upper console panel sub-assembly (security indicator light) connector.

    2. Disconnect the D79 main body ECU connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D141-8 (LP) - D79-15 (IND) Always Below 1 Ω
      D141-9 (E) - Body ground
      D141-8 (LP) or D79-15 (IND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
