If the communication line (EFIO-IMI) to the ID code box is stuck on HI output, the ECM stores this DTC.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ID CODE BOX - ECM)


    1. Disconnect the D26 ID code box connector.

    2. Disconnect the A40*1 or A67*2 ECM connector.


      • *1: for 3ZR-FE

      • *2: for 2ZR-FAE, 3ZR-FAE

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      for 3ZR-FE
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D26-6 (EFIO) - A40-11 (IMI) Always Below 1 Ω
      D26-6 (EFIO) or A40-11 (IMI) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      for 2ZR-FAE, 3ZR-FAE
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D26-6 (EFIO) - A67-28 (IMI) Always Below 1 Ω
      D26-6 (EFIO) or A67-28 (IMI) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  4. CHECK ID CODE BOX (OUTPUT)

    1. Using an oscilloscope, check the waveform.
