POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:

    for RHD:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  3. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

  4. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

  5. REMOVE ECU INTEGRATION BOX RH (for LHD)

    Click here

  6. REMOVE LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (for RHD)

  7. REMOVE POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU (for LHD)


    1. A005899

      Using a screwdriver, insert it to the ECU integration box RH and detach the 2 claws.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. for Type A:

      Pull out and remove the power management control ECU.

    3. for Type B, for Type C:

      Pull out and remove the power management control ECU together with the ECU integration box adapter.

  8. REMOVE POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU (for RHD)


    1. A0058DC

      Disconnect the 2 connectors.

    2. for Type A, for Type B:

      Remove the 2 bolts and power management control ECU.

    3. for Type C:

      Remove the bolt and power management control ECU.

  9. REMOVE ECU INTEGRATION BOX ADAPTER (for LHD, except Type A)


    1. Remove the ECU integration box adapter from the power management control ECU.
