REAR VIEW MONITOR SYSTEM(for Inner Rear View Mirror Type) Reverse Signal Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The inner rear view mirror assembly receives a reverse signal from the park/neutral position switch assembly*1 or back-up light switch assembly*2.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK INNER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY

   1. Disconnect the K10 inner rear view mirror assembly connector.

   2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition K10-3 (REV) - Body ground Ignition switch ON, shift lever in R 11 to 14 V K10-3 (REV) - Body ground Ignition switch ON, shift lever not in R Below 1 V

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INNER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY - PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY)

   
   

   1. Disconnect the K10 inner rear view mirror assembly connector.

   2. Disconnect the B14 park/neutral position switch assembly connector.

   3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      for Automatic Transaxle
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition K10-3 (REV) - B14-1 (RL) Always Below 1 Ω K10-3 (REV) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      for CVT
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition K10-3 (REV) - B14-2 (RL) Always Below 1 Ω K10-3 (REV) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

   3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
