PARK / NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. Temporarily install the park/neutral position switch assembly to the continuously variable transaxle assembly with the 2 bolts.

    2. A0054ZU

      Install the lock plate and lock nut to the park/neutral position switch assembly.

      Torque:
      6.9 N*m  { 70 kgf*cm, 61 in.*lbf }

    3. Temporarily install the control shaft lever.

      Turn the control shaft lever clockwise until it stops, then turn it counterclockwise 2 notches.

    5. Remove the control shaft lever from the park/ neutral position switch assembly.

      Align the protrusion with the neutral basic line.

    7. Hold the park/neutral position switch assembly in that position and tighten the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      5.4 N*m  { 55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf }
    8. A00549M

      Using a screwdriver, stake the lock nut with the lock plate.

    9. Install the control shaft lever to the park/neutral position switch assembly with the nut and washer.

      Torque:
      13 N*m  { 130 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf }

    10. Connect the park/neutral position switch assembly connector.

  2. INSTALL TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the transmission control cable assembly to the No. 1 transmission control cable bracket with a new clip.

    2. Install the transmission control cable assembly to the control shaft lever with the nut.

      Torque:
      12 N*m  { 122 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf }

  3. INSTALL BATTERY CARRIER

  4. CONNECT RADIATOR PIPE

  5. INSTALL BATTERY TRAY

  6. INSTALL BATTERY

  7. INSTALL BATTERY CLAMP SUB-ASSEMBLY

  8. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  9. INSTALL AIR CLEANER FILTER ELEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the air cleaner filter element sub-assembly to the air cleaner case sub-assembly.

  10. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY

  11. INSTALL NO. 2 CYLINDER HEAD COVER

  12. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  13. INSPECT PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY OPERATION

  14. ADJUST PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY
