OIL COOLER INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER

   
   

   1. Apply Toyota Genuine CVT Fluid FE to 2 new O-rings.

   2. Install the 2 O-rings to the transmission oil cooler.

   3. Install the transmission oil cooler to the continuously variable transaxle assembly with the 3 bolts.

      Torque:

      21 N*m  { 214 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

2. CONNECT WATER BY-PASS HOSE

   
   

   1. Connect the 2 water by-pass hoses and slide the 2 clips to secure it.

      Note

      Fully insert the No. 5 water by-pass hose to the 2nd rib on each transmission oil cooler pipe.

3. INSTALL BATTERY CARRIER

4. CONNECT RADIATOR PIPE

   
   

   1. Connect the radiator pipe to the battery carrier with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:

      19 N*m  { 189 kgf*cm, 14 ft.*lbf }

5. INSTALL BATTERY TRAY

6. INSTALL BATTERY

7. INSTALL BATTERY CLAMP SUB-ASSEMBLY

8. ADD ENGINE COOLANT

   Click here

9. ADD CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSAXLE FLUID

   Click here

10. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK

    Click here

11. INSPECT FOR FLUID LEAK

12. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT OPENING COVER

    Click here

13. INSTALL REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER LH

14. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER
