SHIFT LEVER REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

1. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY

2. DISCONNECT TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Move the shift lever to N.

   2. 

      Disconnect the end of the transmission control cable from the shift lever assembly.

      Disconnect in this Direction

   3.

      *1	Stopper
      *2	Nut
      	Rotate in this Direction
      	Pull out in this Direction
      	Disconnect in this Direction

      Pull out the stopper of the transmission control cable.

      Note

      Do not remove the stopper. If the stopper is removed, reinstall it to its original position.

   4. Rotate the nut counterclockwise approximately 180° and, while holding the nut in that position, disconnect the transmission control cable from the shift lever assembly.

      Note

      Do not over-rotate the nut as it will come off the internal spring and the transmission control cable will not be reusable.

3. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER ASSEMBLY

   1. Disconnect the 2 connectors and 4 clamps from the shift lever assembly.

   2. Remove the 4 bolts and shift lever assembly.
