OIL COOLER INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER BRACKET


    1. A0054OYE01

      Install the transmission oil cooler bracket to the continuously variable transaxle assembly with the 3 bolts.

      Torque:
      14 N*m  { 138 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Tightening order: Temporarily install bolt (A) → Tighten bolt (B) → Tighten bolt (C) → Tighten bolt (A)

  2. INSTALL TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER


    1. A0055G7E02

      Install the transmission oil cooler to the transmission oil cooler bracket with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      14 N*m  { 138 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Tightening order: Temporarily install bolt (A) → Tighten bolt (B) → Tighten bolt (A)

  3. CONNECT TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER HOSE


    1. Connect the 2 transmission oil cooler hoses to the transmission oil cooler, and slide the 2 clips to secure it.

      Note


      • Align each paint mark on the transmission oil cooler hose with each one on the transmission oil cooler.

      • Fully insert the transmission oil cooler hose to the 2nd rib on each transmission oil cooler pipe.

  4. CONNECT NO. 6 WATER BY-PASS HOSE


    1. Connect the No. 6 water by-pass hose to the transmission oil cooler, and slide the clip to secure it.

      Note


      • Align each paint mark on the No. 6 water by-pass hose with each one on the transmission oil cooler.

      • Fully insert the No. 6 water by-pass hose to the 2nd rib on each transmission oil cooler pipe.

  5. CONNECT NO. 5 WATER BY-PASS HOSE


    1. Connect the No. 5 water by-pass hose to the transmission oil cooler, and slide the clip to secure it.

      Note


      • Align each paint mark on the No. 5 water by-pass hose with each one on the transmission oil cooler.

      • Fully insert the No. 5 water by-pass hose to the 2nd rib on each transmission oil cooler pipe.

  6. ADD ENGINE COOLANT

  7. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK

  8. ADD CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSAXLE FLUID

  9. INSPECT FOR FLUID LEAK

  10. INSTALL REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER LH

  11. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER
