REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY(for Sedan) INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK HINGE SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

    A0055HJ

    1. Install the seatback hinge with the bolt.

      Torque:
      18 N*m  { 184 kgf*cm, 13 ft.*lbf }

  2. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK HINGE SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  3. INSTALL REAR CENTER SEATBACK HINGE SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Install the center seatback hinge with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      37 N*m  { 377 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf }

  4. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION LOCK HOOK

    A0053KP

    1. Attach the 4 claws to install the 2 lock hooks.

  5. INSTALL NO. 1 QUARTER WHEEL HOUSE GUSSET SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Align the 2 claws with the 2 gusset positioning holes and install the gusset with the 6 bolts.

      Torque:
      44 N*m  { 449 kgf*cm, 32 ft.*lbf }

  6. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH

    A005385

    1. Attach the seatback with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      37 N*m  { 377 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf }

    2. Install the carpet with the 2 clips.

  7. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH

    1. Attach the seatback with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      37 N*m  { 377 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf }

    2. Install the carpet with the 2 clips.

      Install the rear center seat outer belt to the shoulder belt guide.

      Connect the rear center seat outer belt anchor with the bolt.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Do not allow the anchor part of the center seat outer belt assembly to overlap the protruding parts.

  8. INSTALL REAR SIDE SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A0052BM

      Install the claw as shown in the illustration.

    2. Install the side seatback with the bolt.

      Torque:
      7.8 N*m  { 80 kgf*cm, 69 in.*lbf }

      Install the rear seat 3 point type belt anchor with the bolt.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Do not allow the anchor part of the rear seat 3 point type belt to overlap the protruding parts of the floor panel.

    4. Install the seat belt to the belt guide.

    5. Attach the claw to close the cap of the rear seat shoulder belt guide.

    6. Check if the ELR locks.

      Note

      The check should be performed with the outer belt assembly installed.


      1. With the belt assembly installed, check that the belt locks when it is pulled out quickly.

  9. INSTALL REAR SIDE SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  10. INSTALL REAR BENCH TYPE SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY

    1. Attach the 2 rear hooks of the seat cushion to the seatback.

    2. Attach the 2 front hooks to install the seat cushion.

    3. Confirm that the seat cushion is firmly installed.

      Note

      When installing the seat cushion, make sure the seat belt buckle is not under the seat cushion.
