  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.

  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL SEAT POSITION AIRBAG SENSOR (for Driver Side)

  2. INSTALL REAR UPPER NO. 2 SEAT TRACK COVER

      Attach the 3 claws to install the rear upper No. 2 seat track cover.

  3. INSTALL REAR UPPER SEAT TRACK COVER

      Attach the 3 claws to install the rear upper seat track cover.

  4. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SPRING ASSEMBLY

    1. Attach the 8 hooks to install the separate type front seat cushion spring assembly to the front seat adjuster assembly LH.

      for Front Passenger Side:

      Attach the 2 clamps to install the connector holder.

  5. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY LH


    1. B0040GQ

      Using a T50 "TORX" socket wrench, install the front seat adjuster assembly LH with the 4 "TORX" bolts.

      Torque:
      35 N*m  { 357 kgf*cm, 26 ft.*lbf }

  6. INSTALL FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD LH (for Driver Side)

    1. Attach the guide to install the front seat lower cushion shield LH with the screw.

  7. INSTALL FRONT SEAT WIRE LH (w/ Lumbar Support)

      Attach the claw to install the front seat wire LH.

    2. Connect the connector.

    3. Attach the 2 wire harness clamps.

    4. B0040GV

      Attach the 2 wire harness clamps to install the front seat wire LH.

  8. INSTALL SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL CONTROLLER LH (w/ Seat Heater System)

      Attach the claw to install the seat climate control controller LH.

  11. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK PAD

      Install the separate type front seatback pad.

  12. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK HEATER ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Seat Heater System)

  13. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER


    1. Temporarily install the separate type front seatback cover.

      *1 Hog Ring Pliers

      Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seatback cover to the separate type front seatback pad with 3 new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the separate type front seatback cover.

      • Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the separate type front seatback cover.

      Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seatback cover to the separate type front seatback pad with 3 new hog rings.

      • Be careful not to damage the separate type front seatback cover.

      • Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the separate type front seatback cover.

      Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seatback cover to the separate type front seatback pad with 2 new hog rings.

    5. Attach the 2 hooks.

      Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seatback cover to the separate type front seatback pad with 5 new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the separate type front seatback cover.

      • Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the separate type front seatback cover.

      • When installing the separate type front seatback cover, make sure to pass the straps of the separate type front seatback cover through the hog rings.

      Attach the 2 claws to install the 2 front seat headrest supports.

      Pass the 2 straps through the 2 holes of the separate type front seatback pad to the backside.

      Attach the 2 hooks.

    10. B0040LH

      Attach the 2 hooks to connect the 2 straps.

    11. B0040P1

      Attach the hook at the bottom of the separate type front seatback cover.

      Attach the 2 hooks.

  14. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK ASSEMBLY

    Tech Tips

    Perform this procedure when it is necessary to remove and reinstall or replace the separate type front seatback assembly.


    1. B0040M7

      Using a T50 "TORX" socket wrench, install the separate type front seatback assembly to the front seat adjuster assembly LH with the 4 "TORX" bolts.

      Torque:
      35 N*m  { 357 kgf*cm, 26 ft.*lbf }

    2. w/ Lumbar Support:


      1. B0040I4

        Attach the 2 wire harness clamps.

      2. Connect the connector.

      3. B0040P5

        Pass the 2 straps through the 2 holes of the separate type front seatback pad to the backside.

      4. B0040PF

        Attach the 2 hooks.

      5. B0040LH

        Attach the 2 hooks to connect the 2 straps.

      6. B0040P1

        Attach the hook at the bottom of the separate type front seatback cover.

    3. B0040NG

      Attach the 2 hooks.

    4. B0040PY

      Attach the claw and connect the connector.

    5. Attach the 2 wire harness clamps.

  15. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Seat Heater System)

  16. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER

      Attach the 13 hooks to install the separate type front seat cushion cover to the separate type front seat cushion pad.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the separate type front seat cushion cover.

      • When attaching the hooks, avoid wrinkling the separate type front seat cushion cover.

  17. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD


    1. Attach the 9 hooks to install the separate type front seat cushion cover with pad.

      Attach the wire harness clamp.

      for Front Passenger Side:

      Attach the claw to connect the connector.

    4. w/ Seat Heater System:

        Connect the connector.

      3. Attach the wire harness clamp.

      4. for Type A:

        Connect the 2 connectors.

        Connect the connector.

      Attach the 2 hooks.

  18. INSTALL FRONT OUTER SEAT CUSHION BRACKET (for Driver Side)

      Attach the 4 claws to install the front seat hinge pin and front outer seat cushion bracket to the connector link.

      Attach the 2 claws to install the vertical adjuster handle bracket with connector link.

      Connect the connector link and install the clip.

  19. INSTALL RECLINING CONTROL LEVER LH


    1. Temporarily install the reclining control lever LH with the 2 nuts.

      Using a 15 mm socket wrench, tighten nut B.

      Torque:
      for Nut B
      25 N*m  { 255 kgf*cm, 18 ft.*lbf }

    3. Tighten nut A.

      Torque:
      for Nut A
      12 N*m  { 122 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf }

      Attach the 2 hooks to install the spring.

  20. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD LH

      Attach the hook to install the front seat inner cushion shield LH with the screw.

  21. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH (for Driver Side)

  23. INSTALL SEAT SLIDE POSITION SENSOR PROTECTOR (for Driver Side)

      Attach the 2 clamps and connect the wire harness.

      Attach the 2 claws and 2 guides to install the seat slide position sensor protector with the screw.

  24. INSTALL LUMBAR FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH (w/ Lumbar Support)

  25. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH

      w/ Lumbar Support:

      Connect the connector.

    2. B0040LR

      Attach the claw and hook to install the front seat cushion shield LH.

    3. Install the 2 screws.

      Attach the 2 rubber bands.

  26. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE LH

      Attach the claw to install the reclining adjuster release handle LH.

  27. INSTALL VERTICAL ADJUSTING HANDLE LH (for Driver Side)


    1. B0040JR

      Install the vertical adjusting handle LH with the 2 screws.

  28. INSTALL VERTICAL SEAT ADJUSTER KNOB CAP (for Driver Side)

      Attach the 3 claws to install the vertical seat adjuster knob cap.
