FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY(for Manual Seat) INSTALLATION

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.

  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY


    1. A005521

      Install the front seat assembly as shown in the illustration.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

      • Make sure the seatback does not contact the shift lever knob.

      Tech Tips

      Install the front seat assembly through the door frame so that it passes under the steering wheel.

    2. Connect the connectors under the front seat assembly.

    3. Temporarily install the front seat assembly with the 4 bolts.

    4. Lift up the seat track adjusting handle and move the front seat assembly to the foremost position.

      Tighten the bolts in the order shown in the illustration.

      Torque:
      37 N*m  { 377 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf }

    6. Lift up the seat track adjusting handle and move the front seat assembly to the rearmost position.

    7. A0052GDE01

      Tighten the bolts in the order shown in the illustration.

      Torque:
      37 N*m  { 377 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf }

  2. INSTALL FRONT SEAT OUTER TRACK BRACKET COVER


    1. A0057Q6

      Attach the 4 claws to install the front seat outer track bracket cover.

  3. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER TRACK BRACKET COVER

      Attach the 4 claws to install the front seat inner track bracket cover.

  4. INSTALL FRONT SEAT REAR OUTER TRACK COVER


    1. Lift up the seat track adjusting handle and move the front seat assembly to the rearmost position.

      Attach the 2 claws to install the front seat rear outer track cover.

  5. INSTALL FRONT SEAT REAR INNER TRACK COVER

      Attach the 2 claws to install the front seat rear inner track cover.

  6. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY


    1. A0053HC

      Install the front seat headrest assembly.

  7. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  8. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT

    Click here

  9. INSPECT FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY


    1. w/ Seat Heater System:

      Check the seat heater operation.


      1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

      2. Operate the seat heater switch on.

      3. Wait 5 minutes or more and confirm that the seat surface becomes warm.

    2. w/ Lumbar Support:

      Check the lumbar support operation.


      1. Operate the lumbar front power seat switch and check that the lumbar support moves in both directions.
