DESCRIPTION

The pre-crash safety city sensor turns the pre-crash safety city heater on and off by operating the TSS C HTR relay (pre-crash safety city heater relay).

When the pre-crash safety city sensor detects a malfunction in the TSS C HTR relay (pre-crash safety city heater relay) coil side circuit, C1AAF is output.

    Either of the following conditions is met:

  • When the pre-crash safety city heater receives an operation request, the BUZ terminal voltage of the pre-crash safety city sensor is continuously 1.368 V or higher for 5 seconds or more

  • When the pre-crash safety city heater receives a non-operation request, the BUZ terminal voltage of the pre-crash safety city sensor is continuously 0.145V or higher for 5 seconds or more


  • TSS C HTR relay (pre-crash safety city heater relay)

  • Harness or connector

  • Pre-crash safety city sensor

Note


  • Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following procedure.


  • When replacing the pre-crash safety city sensor, replace it with a new one. If an ECU which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in the pre-crash safety city sensor will not match the information from the vehicle and, as a result, a DTC may be output.


  • When replacing the pre-crash safety city sensor with a new one, or performing removal, installation or replacement of the windshield glass, always perform "Recognition Camera/ Target Position Memory" and "Beam Axis Learning".

    Perform adjustment with either "ONE TIME RECOGNITION" or "SEQUENTIAL RECOGNITION".

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PRE-CRASH SAFETY CITY HEATER POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT)

      Disconnect the pre-crash safety city sensor connector.

      Note

      DTCs may be output when connectors are disconnected during inspection. Therefore, be sure to clear the DTCs using the GTS once the inspection has been completed.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
