DESCRIPTION

DTC C1AA0 is output when an internal circuit malfunction in the pre-crash safety city sensor is detected.

C1AA0 When the ignition switch is ON and the system is operating, an internal circuit malfunction continues in the pre-crash safety city sensor for 5 seconds or more.

Note


  • w/ Pre-crash Safety City Heater:

    Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following procedure.

  • When replacing the pre-crash safety city sensor, replace it with a new one. If an ECU which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in the pre-crash safety city sensor will not match the information from the vehicle and, as a result, a DTC may be output.

  • When replacing the pre-crash safety city sensor with a new one, or performing removal, installation or replacement of the windshield glass, always perform "Recognition Camera/Target Position Memory" and "Beam Axis Learning".

    Perform adjustment with either "ONE TIME RECOGNITION" or "SEQUENTIAL RECOGNITION".

    1. Check if the stored DTCs are current DTCs.

    1. Replace the pre-crash safety city sensor with a new one Click here.

    2. Perform the "Recognition Camera/Target Position Memory" and "Beam Axis Learning" of pre-crash safety city sensor.

      Perform adjustment with either "ONE TIME RECOGNITION" or "SEQUENTIAL RECOGNITION".

      Remove the ECU-IG NO.1 fuse.

    2. Remove the TSS C HTR relay (pre-crash safety city heater relay).

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      ECU-IG NO.1 fuse terminal 2 - TSS C HTR relay (pre-crash safety city heater relay) holder terminal 1

      Positive (+) tester probe → ECU-IG NO.1 fuse terminal 2

      Negative (-) tester probe → TSS C HTR relay (pre-crash safety city heater relay) holder terminal 1

      		 Always Below 1 Ω

      Positive (+) tester probe → TSS C HTR relay (pre-crash safety city heater relay) holder terminal 1

      Negative (-) tester probe → ECU-IG NO.1 fuse terminal 2

      		 Always 10 kΩ or higher

    4. Disconnect the K14 pre-crash safety city sensor connector.

    5. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      K14-8 (BUZ) - TSS C HTR relay (pre-crash safety city heater relay) holder terminal 1

      Positive (+) tester probe → K14-8 (BUZ)

      Negative (-) tester probe → TSS C HTR relay (pre-crash safety city heater relay) holder terminal 1

      		 Always Below 1 Ω

      Positive (+) tester probe → TSS C HTR relay (pre-crash safety city heater relay) holder terminal 1

      Negative (-) tester probe → K14-8 (BUZ)

      		 Always 10 kΩ or higher
