PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT UPPER CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (AIRBAG CUT-OFF INDICATOR LIGHT)

      Component without harness connected

      (Upper Console Panel Sub-assembly)

      Apply battery voltage to the connector and check the airbag off indicator illumination condition.

      OK
      Measurement Condition Specified Condition

      Battery positive (+) → D141-3 (B)

      Battery negative (-) → D141-4 (P-AB)

      		 Airbag OFF indicator illuminates

      Battery positive (+) → D141-3 (B)

      Battery positive (+) → D141-5 (ILL+)

      Battery negative (-) → D141-4 (P-AB)

      Battery negative (-) → D141-9 (E)

      		 Airbag OFF indicator illuminates in dimmed state

      If the result is not as specified, replace the upper console panel sub-assembly.

      		 Airbag ON indicator illuminates

      Battery positive (+) → D141-3 (B)

      Battery positive (+) → D141-5 (ILL+)

      Battery negative (-) → D141-6 (PAON)

      Battery negative (-) → D141-9 (E)

      		 Airbag ON indicator illuminates in dimmed state

      If the result is not as specified, replace the upper console panel sub-assembly.
