INTAKE MANIFOLD REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE GENERATOR ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  3. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  4. REMOVE VACUUM SENSOR ASSEMBLY

    1. Disconnect the vacuum sensor connector.

    2. Remove the engine cover joint and vacuum sensor.

    3. Disconnect the air hose from the vacuum sensor.

  5. REMOVE NO. 1 VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE ASSEMBLY

    1. Disconnect the connector and 2 vacuum hoses.

    2. Remove the bolt and vacuum switching valve.

  6. REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD

      Remove the bolt and wire harness clamp bracket.

    2. Detach the 5 clamps and wire harness from the intake manifold.

      Disconnect the fuel vapor feed hose and ventilation hose.

      Remove the 5 bolts, 2 nuts, intake manifold stay and intake manifold.

      Remove the gasket from the intake manifold.

      Remove the bolt and wire harness clamp bracket from the intake manifold.

    7. w/ Stud Bolt:


      1. Using an E6 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 stud bolts from the intake manifold.

  7. REMOVE NO. 1 GAS FILTER

    1. Disconnect the air hose from the gas filter and intake manifold.

    2. Using a 24 mm deep socket wrench, remove the gas filter from the intake manifold.

  8. REMOVE ENGINE COVER JOINT


    1. Remove the engine cover joint.
