INTAKE MANIFOLD REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

1. REMOVE GENERATOR ASSEMBLY

2. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY

   Click here

3. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY

   Click here

4. REMOVE VACUUM SENSOR ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. 

      Disconnect the vacuum sensor connector.

   2. Remove the engine cover joint and vacuum sensor assembly.

   3. Disconnect the air hose from the vacuum sensor assembly.

5. REMOVE NO. 1 VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE ASSEMBLY

   

   
   

   1. Disconnect the connector and 2 vacuum hoses.

   2. Remove the bolt and No. 1 vacuum switching valve assembly.

6. REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD

   
   

   1. 

      Remove the bolt and wire harness clamp bracket.

   2. Detach the 5 clamps to disconnect the wire harness from the intake manifold.

   3. 

      Disconnect the fuel vapor feed hose from the intake manifold.

   4. Slide the clip and disconnect the ventilation hose from the intake manifold.

   5. 

      Remove the 5 bolts, 2 nuts, intake manifold stay and intake manifold.

   6. 

      Remove the gasket from the intake manifold.

   7. 

      Remove the bolt and wire harness clamp bracket from the intake manifold.

   8. w/ Stud Bolt:

      
      

      1. Using an E6 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 stud bolts from the intake manifold.

7. REMOVE NO. 1 GAS FILTER

   

   
   

   1. Detach the clamp and disconnect the No. 1 air hose from the No. 1 gas filter and intake manifold.

   2. Using a 24 mm deep socket wrench, remove the No. 1 gas filter from the intake manifold.

8. REMOVE ENGINE COVER JOINT

   
   

   1. Remove the engine cover joint.
