DESCRIPTION

According to current control by the ECM, the shift solenoid valve SLP controls primary pulley pressure in accordance with the requested gear ratio to perform gear ratio changes.

  1. The oil pressure sensor output value is 0.333 MPa (3.4 kgf/ cm2, 48 psi) or higher and the target gear ratio is less than 1.0.

  2. The actual gear ratio is 2.0 or more.

  3. 2 seconds or more

  4. 1-trip detection logic

 Continuously variable transaxle assembly (Shift solenoid valve SLP)

  1. The oil pressure sensor output value is 0.333 MPa (3.4 kgf/ cm2, 48 psi) or higher and the target gear ratio is 2.0 or more.

  2. The actual gear ratio is less than 0.5.

  3. 1.5 seconds or more

  4. 1-trip detection logic

MONITOR DESCRIPTION

The ECM compares the actual gear ratio with the target gear ratio. When the actual gear ratio and target gear ratio are different, the ECM detects the problem, illuminates the MIL and stores this DTC.

  • Perform initialization when parts related to the continuously variable transaxle are replaced Click here.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (IN ADDITION TO DTC P2820)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Trouble Codes.

    5. Read the DTCs using the GTS.

      Tech Tips

      If any DTCs other than P2820 are output, perform troubleshooting for those DTCs first.
